La Bocana,
I've been surfing La Bocana for more than 35 years. This is a world-class wave when its on. Just 3 minutes (yes 3 minutes) walking from your room at Eco Del Mar in the heart of El Tunco. You can be checking the wave all day very easily. Nowadays it can get crowded in the mornings but you can always surf with less crowds early dawn and twelve noon. Its a blessing to be able to call La Bocana our backyard break!!
Playa El Tunco
Playa El Tunco is named after this Giant rock formation that many years ago resembled a pig. Nowadays, the ocean, waves and weather have eroded the rock and it's hard to see a pig resemblance anymore. Its nice to walk up to it in low tide and admire the sea life on top of its and water movements with the tides

Last week we had the world's best surfers at Punta Roca, El Salvador. The waves showed up and we had an epic event at the world class wave of Punta Roca, located just a 5 minute drive from Eco Del Mar Hotel!
